How many dogs to change a light bulb?

How Many Dogs Does it Take to Change Light Bulb?
1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?
2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
3. Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!
4. Rottweiler: Make me.
5. Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.
6. Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I?
Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please, please!
7. German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.
8. Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.
9. Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb!
10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.
11. Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.
12. Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there.....
13. Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?
14. Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle...
15. Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border collie’s ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
The Cat's Answer: "Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the real question is: How long will it be before I can expect some light, some dinner, and a massage?"
ALL OF WHICH PROVES, ONCE AGAIN, THAT WHILE DOGS HAVE MASTERS, CATS HAVE STAFF.

Just love this.....

Rosemead, CA - The sculpture consists of an iron beam pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center held up by two stainless steel hands. The hands holding it up are constructed from 2,976 individually crafted stainless steel doves - each representing a victim of the attacks.

14 years on. 9/11.

A friend of mine alerted me to this poem, one of thousands that have been posted all over everywhere in the 14 years since 9/11 and I am reposting it here as my way of remembering the horrendous chain of events and the loss of life that happened on this day in 2001.

WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PREVENT THESE ATROCITIES FROM EVER HAPPENING AGAIN.

ONE

We became one color.
As we carried each other down the stairs of the burning building,

We became one class.
As we lit candles of waiting and hope,

We became one generation.
As the firefighters and police officers fought their way into the inferno,

We became one gender.
As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength,

We became one faith.
As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement,

We spoke one language.
As we gave our blood in lines a mile long,

We became one body.
As we mourned together the great loss,

We became one family.
As we cried tears of grief and loss,

We became one soul.
As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heroes,

We become one people.
We are:

One color
One class
One generation
One gender
One faith
One language
One body
One family
One soul
One people
We are The Power of One.

We are United.
We are America.

AS MY PERSONAL MEMORIAL TO THE DAY I AM POSTING TWO OF MY PICTURES THAT I TOOK OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTRE ON JANUARY 3RD 1990.

THANK YOU FOR READING AND REMEMBERING. 11TH SEPTEMBER 2010 - 14 YEARS ON.
